Town Ambassador scoops Award

Newmarket Town Centre Ambassador and Abbey Security employee, Ed Vince has scooped a top national award.

Competing against 300 other town centres around the country, Ed has been named ‘Best Ambassador, Ranger or Warden of the Year’ at the recent Association of Town & City Management (ATCM) Industry Awards.

ATCM is a not-for-profit membership organisation that brings together all those interested in the management of our town and city centres across the UK and Ireland. Held in Hull, these industry awards showcase best practice on key issues for their network.

Ed received his award from Ojay McDonald the CEO of ATCM, after seeing off stiff competition from many other BIDs and councils in the UK.

About Newmarket’s Town Ambassador

Previously Security Manager for Bury St Edmunds’ Cornhill Walk Shopping Centre, Ed has been a visible presence in Newmarket since February 2017. As part of the Love Newmarket Business Improvement District (BID), he is always on hand to offer help and advice to visitors to the town. In addition to this, Ed is often the first port of call for local businesses following minor incidents, such as shoplifting or graffiti.
