We’re on duty, even when we’re not

At Abbey Security, we’re proud of our relationships with our clients and are thrilled when we receive excellent feedback from them.

So, when we receive a message from a member of the public we’re even more delighted. That’s why we were pleased to hear of the efforts of one of our security guards last month, who went above and beyond to help a lady in distress on a cold January weekend.

This is an extract from the lady who got in touch with us after the event.

“I was visiting my sister in Grays with my 4-year-old daughter when I got as far as Cambridge airport and saw steam coming out of my engine.

“Stranded on the roadside for over 2 hours waiting for my husband to assist me, with my car sat in the middle of the carriageway, I stood on the grass. My child was asleep during the time two vehicles stopped to ask if I was okay, then promptly drove off. The third man was from your company, Abbey Security.

“This man stopped, got out of his vehicle and pushed my car off the road. I couldn’t believe it! He then offered to give me his working packed lunch when he realised I had a child and had been waiting so long for my husband.

“I’m still in awe… It’s in a way restored some faith that there are some lovely kind people still around in this society.”

At Abbey Security, we care about our staff, which allows us to retain an exceptional team of dedicated officers. We aim to provide a positive company culture and look to employ staff who are dedicated and loyal to us, and the companies they protect. We’re pleased to see that our staff hold these values at all times, even outside of their working hours.

As you can see, our staff are always on duty, and willing to go that extra mile – essential in the sensitive world of security.
