Abbey Security provide charity’s security services free of charge

At Abbey Security, we’re delighted to be supporting St Nicholas Hospice Care by providing the security at their Hardwick Lane site free of charge.

Our charity of the year, St Nicholas Hospice Care provide health, advice and support to people in West Suffolk and Thetford who are living with long-term and life-threatening illnesses.

Our Managing Director Ian Whitaker-Bethel has supported the charity for a number of years, even cycling 450 miles during a charity bike ride to raise funds for the hospice in 2012.

He said: “For me St Nicholas Hospice Care is a local charity supporting the local community and we are pleased to be able to carry on supporting such a worthwhile cause.”

As well as the complimentary security support Abbey Security Services also donated £11,000 to the hospice.

Abby Mayes, St Nicholas Hospice Care corporate fundraiser, said: “As a charity we have to ensure that all of our buildings and people are kept safe 24 hours a day, seven days a week and Abbey Security’s help means we won’t have to worry about the cost.

“Abbey Security Services have supported us for many years and we can’t thank them enough for their latest generosity.”
